31 DAYS OF COFFEE MUGS: Personaliteas Mug (2020)

For day THREE of the 31 DAYS OF COFFEE MUGS, I bring you a novel-tea. That is, a fine bone china mug from artist Jumble Sailor in a design called Personaliteas. It’s perfect for anyone who loves their tea in a mug, like me! 

The design on the mug was Jumble Sailor’s entry into a tea towel design competition by ToDryFor’s tea towel competition in the United Kingdom. It is made by Beast in Show and available through Jumble Sailor’s Etsy store. 

Vintage inspired, I love the illustrations. You can drink your cuppa tea with Camilla Chamomile, Olly Oolong, Brian Breakfast and friends and of course, I won’t tell if you put coffee in your mug. The design is all around the mug and even features a friend called Rosy Lee in the bottom. She’s there reading the leaves whether or not you used tea leaves (or even drank tea). 

This mug is a unique gift idea for the tea lover in your life. It is hand decorated in a winning combination of light blue and deep red in Stoke on Trent in the United Kingdom. It measures 3 1/2 inches (9 cms) deep by 3 1/3 inches (8.4 cms) wide and is microwave and dishwasher safe.

The My Cuppa Tea and My Cuppa Coffee mugs are unique and fun. Each one comes with a banding on the inside so that you can serve up the perfect cup of tea or coffee for your friends and family. I love the idea, which was designed by a company called Suck UK. These mugs are a real novelty item, a unique gift idea for both tea and coffee lovers. Particularly useful if you have someone who is fussy about how much milk or cream they take in their hot beverage. With one of these mugs in hand, my husband would actually be able to make me a cup of tea and come fairly close to making it the way I like it.

31 DAYS OF COFFEE MUGS: Downton Abbey Tea Cups

Third in my series of THE 31 DAYS OF COFFEE MUGS is a set of teacups. Downton Abbey teacups, that is.  I hope you will forgive me that they are teacups. I assure you your coffee will taste perfectly fine in them.

It seemed only fitting to choose this subject matter given the fact that Season 5 of Downton Abbey arrives in North America in just two days time. I know that I am not the only one anxious for the return of our favourite characters although I will confess to already knowing how disappointed we are going to feel after each episode is over...

Back to the mugs.  These handsome mugs were produced by World Market for Downton Abbey. There are three cups in the set, which are available individually or as a group.

One mug has a quotation from the Dowager Countess of Grantham that reads, "What is a weekend?" a line that will go on to immortalize the Dowager Countess and the amazing Dame Maggie Smith. A second mug features the words Downton Abbey and shows the crown and the third has the initials DA for Downton Abbey. They are all beautiful but if I had to guess the most popular one, I'd go with the weekend reference. It would definitely be my first choice.
