31 DAYS OF COFFEE MUGS: Mugs For Mom

Sixth in my series, 31 DAYS OF COFFEE MUGS, are these pretty mugs from Lorrie Veasey. I have long been a fan of Veasey's work as it appears on the mugs produced under the name Our Name is Mud.

Lorrie Veasey is an artist who started creating ceramic pieces at the ripe old age of three. However, she did not sell her first pieces until she needed extra money when she was in her twenties. In 1987, she sold her work at festivals and fairs in New York City and the success of her sales there led to a retail store in 1995, a wholesale line in 2002 and the sale of her business to Enesco in 2007.

Today her designs appear on products around the world. Her work has also appeared in Glamour, Good Housekeeping and Parents magazines and is enjoyed by the likes of Lindsay Lohan, Julia Roberts, Robert DeNiro and Bill Murray.

I love her mugs with their fun expressions and beautiful colours and today I am bringing you five of the beautiful mom or mother themed mugs.

Which one would you choose for your mother?  My personal favourite might must be the yellow mug that reads, "Mum" on the outside and "Thoughts of You Warm My Heart" on the inside because I definitely have a love of warm yellows and because the expression is lovely. Or I might be tempted to choose the first mug as a not-too-subtle reminder of just exactly who is my mom's favourite child!
