A Charlie Brown Christmas Collector's Edition Jigsaw Puzzle

Love it! It's A Charlie Brown Christmas Collector's Jigsaw Puzzle...here's where to find yours.

A Charlie Brown Christmas Collector's Jigsaw PuzzleA Charlie Brown Christmas is a classic television program that is watched by you and by me year after year after year.

The eternally popular story is presented here as a 550 piece jigsaw puzzle in an attractive collector's tin.

The puzzle features a familiar scene from the Charlie Brown television special, in which Linus wraps his beloved blue blanket around Charlie brown's pathetic Christmas tree.

Unfortunately, this jigsaw puzzle is out of print, which means if you want to own it it is probably going to cost you more than the original selling price.

If you are an Amazon shopper, you can check here to see if Amazon still has this puzzle available and, if so, at what price.

Then you can check the eBay listings of this Charlie Brown Collector's Edition Christmas puzzle by clicking here

eBay shopping note:

Not all of the puzzles will be new, so if that is important to you, be sure to shop carefully. If you are buying a used puzzle, make sure the seller guarantees the puzzle to be complete. A simple counting of the pieces is not enough because puzzle manufacturers do not always use the exact number of pieces that a puzzle is sold as. For instance, a 550-piece puzzle may actually have 552 or 458 pieces.

Shop carefully and happy puzzling!

The Andy Warhol Barbie Doll

Have you seen her? Mattel's Barbie as Andy Warhol that is? She's adorable...
Have you seen her? Mattel's Barbie as Andy Warhol that is?

I have and I think she's adorable with her cute cropped haircut and her black outfit.  I just read that she's not exactly accurate. For instance, Andy Warhol was not a painter but Mattel chose to accessorize this Barbie with the tools of a painter.

To me, it does not matter. She's cute and representative of pop art, something that always fascinates me. Not that it really matters. I am not going to own one of these dolls.

I am not a Barbie doll collector but as a girl I played with Barbie quite a bit and now I find myself occasionally fascinated by one, like this Warhol doll or the Alfred Hitchcock Birds Barbie doll.

This Andy Warhol themed Barbie doll is a limited edition Platinum Label doll. Only 999 dolls were made. That fact, of course, meant a near instant sell out.  I do not know how much this doll would have retailed for when she was sold but I have seen guesses of $100 or $150.

Barbie as Andy Warhol

Mattel's Barbie as Andy Warhol

I see that this Andy Warhol Barbie can now be found on eBay where she is listed for up to $799 and selling for anywhere from $500 to $799, well out of my range and I bet that some very lucky Barbie doll collector is going to find this doll under her Christmas tree! Updated to 2023, Barbie is selling on eBay for up to $700.

If you are curious, here is a peek at some of the current results on eBay. If you are a serious shopper, I hope this widget will help you add the Andy Warhol Barbie doll to your collection. If you prefer, you can see all of eBay's Warhol dolls by clicking here.

Happy Collecting!

Vintage B. Kliban Collector's Items

Vintage B. Kliban Collector's Items

The artist B. Kliban created Kliban the ultimate cartoon cat in the 1970s and his black and white cat achieved huge popularity from the publication of the first book and was eventually featured on every type of merchandise conceivable from calendars and t-shirts to mugs and cookie jars. (Shown above is the first B. Kliban book called Cat.)

The book The Collectible 70s says that official B. Kliban merchandise, that is merchandise marked BKliban, was only manufactured for about 6 years. Since Kliban the cat has retained his popularity, merchandise bearing his likeness is highly sought after, especially the older pieces marked BKliban. After the artist's death, other manufacturers produced pieces using Kliban's likeness and some of those items will be marked JKliban or BKcats. Find your copy of The Collectible 70s here on Amazon.

B. Kliban Cat Space Ship Teapot

I love the striking teapot shown above, which was previously sold (and no longer available) on eBay by seller lkg0vvu.  However, that one has since been sold. You can, however, check for it and see what other Kliban teapots are available here on eBay. What Kliban collector wouldn't like to own a themed teapot?

B. Kliban Pants Cookie Jar

I rarely find Kliban merchandise myself when I am sourcing but at one point, I did have the fun cookie jar shown above, which was manufactured by Sigma and Tastesetters in the shape of a pair of pants with not one but rather three Kliban the cat figures on top. If you are interested in a Kliban cookie jar, you can check eBay here and you can find oodles of other Kliban merchandise on eBay by clicking right here

Pretty good, don’t you think, for a cat that is not considered particularly cute or mysterious but simply very funny?

Disney's Tale Spin Toys

Disney's Tale Spin Toys

Disney's Tale Spin was an animated children's television series that aired for two seasons in 1990. It featured two main characters: Baloo who we know from Disney's Jungle Book and Kit Cloudkicker who went on plenty of adventures that included air pirates, one of whom was Don Karnage.

In 1991, Playmates released a series of figurines and toys including as shown on the left, Disney's Tale Spin Toy Plane called Don Karnarge's Tri-Wing Terror.

Don Karnarge's Tri-Wing Terror included a "realistic" sounding turbo propeller, which I believe you had to manually turn to hear, a gun sight, a retractable pilot's canopy, aerial attack guns, tri-wing design, detachable bombs and high-flying pontoons. New but in an open box, Don Karnarge sold from the toy department of my eBay store for close to $200.

The Tri-Wing Terror is just one of a number of Tale Spin toys that are rare and sought after, fetching good prices on eBay.

Vintage Disney's Tale Spin Giant Baloo

The Giant Baloo Collector Action Figure shown here sold for more than $70 through the eBay store Tootsie's Toys, who is no longer selling on eBay.

Tale Spin Toys Plush Molly

And eBay seller reddogedwards found a happy collector for The Molly Cunningham plush toy shown above, who was willing to pay more than $1,000 for this prized memory from the 1990s.

Not all of Disney's Tale Spin toys are so valuable. There are plenty of items that are affordable, like pins, comic books and McDonald's toys, but there are also a few really special pieces, like those sold items shown here on this page. You can see for yourself a huge selection of Tale Spin merchandise right now by clicking right here

You never know what
I might have in store for you!
