I am pretty sure that my 17-year old made a reference to the Tardis last week, which of course I had to have explained but he, like any Dr. Who fan, understood perfectly.

I had a chuckle when I read one review that said that the writer loves a good hot cup of tea, Doctor Who and her disappearing Tardis mug. All that is missing, she said, were sound effects...but she has them as a ringtone on her phone.

31 DAYS OF COFFEE MUGS: Keep Calm And Carry On Coffee Mugs (And Story)

Keep Calm and Carry On was originally a slogan on a World War II poster. It was actually one of three posters with the design of this one meant to be used only if the war got so bad that the general population needed to be told to "Keep Calm and Carry On."

Apparently, the poster was never displayed and most of the 2.5 million created were destroyed. As a matter of fact, there are only two known copies of the original poster in existence.

One of those copies is owned by a secondhand bookstore named Barter Books in Britain. The store is located in an old railway station where the owners discovered the famous wartime poster with the slogan, Keep Calm and Carry On.

Upon requests from customers, they created a few and steadily more and more reproductions of the poster until eventually the Keep Calm craze spread and, of course, other companies jumped on the bandwagon.

Now there is a legal battle underway in Britain as one of those companies tries to prevent others from using the slogan. It's actually an interesting story, but I digress...

As you likely know, the expression Keep Calm And Carry On and many alternate versions of it went viral and now it appears on everything from posters to, well, coffee mugs.
