Wicked Flying Monkeys Coffee Mug

Do you love Halloween? Are you looking for a new Halloween-themed coffee mug? Maybe the best one? Personally, I love many, many of the Halloween mugs out there but this one is definitely one of my favorites. It is just so darned attractive.

This is a Wicked mug, pun intended. I love the dramatic coloring of black on the outside and purple on the inside with a punch of green thrown in for good measure.

As a Wizard of Oz fan, I love the reference to that series and to the he hit Broadway musical called Wicked.

The mug is by Our Name is Mud, holds 16 ounces of your favorite hot and steamy beverage and it is both microwave and dishwasher safe.

Use it to warn your family and friends that if they do not behave, you may just have to call the flying monkeys.

As I update this post in 2024, this mug does not seem to be in production anymore. You can check on Amazon by following this link.

Since it is out of production, you may find it being resold by clicking here on eBay.

All of these coffee cups are purr-fect for Halloween gift ideas, too. Perhaps as a hostess gift or as a gift for a cat lover. Just fill with candy, tea or maybe even some hot chocolate and pumpkin spice mix, wrap and deliver!

Chester the Cat Black and White Coffee Mug

What's not to love about this Chester the Cat mug? Well, for some the fact that it is NOT microwave or dishwasher would definitely be a problem but if you don't use a dishwasher or you are a big collector, that issue might not be so important. This mug is definitely attractive and I love all the additional coordinating pieces that are available from Amazon.

31 DAYS OF COFFEE MUGS: Life is Good Start Me Up Mug

Here is a coffee mug for those of you who struggle to get going in the morning.  I do not usually have any trouble getting moving though I have the luxury of setting my own start time in the morning and I will admit that it is different most mornings.

I do find that when I have to get up for some external reason like an appointment, my desire to move and speed of movement are somewhat different.

That's a phenomenon I struggle to understand. Why is it easy when I don't have to get up and hard when I do have to? I expect I will never know the answer to that question.

I do, however, like this attractive black START ME UP coffee mug from the folks at Life is Good. It is perfect for those who cannot get going until they have had their first cup of coffee.

You will find the Start Me Up wording and mug image on one side and the iconic Life is Good logo on the back. Unfortunately, you will no longer find this mug from Life is Good by clicking right here but you can find it by clicking here, on eBay.

You never know what
coffee mug I will have
in store for you!

MUGS ON MONDAY: You've Cat To Be Kitten Me Right Meow Coffee Mug

Some mugs just make you or maybe I should say me smile. That's the category that the mug for this MUGS ON MONDAY post fits into.

The expression, "You've Cat To Be Kitten Me Right Meow" on this coffee mug is just plain fun and I love how the maker, TooLoud, put the words into the form of a black cat.

It's perfect for any cat lover's morning cup of coffee, don't you think?

Have a great week!

31 DAYS OF COFFEE MUGS: Vintage Federal Glass Company Zodiac Mugs

The twelve signs of the zodiac are represented in these vintage Federal Glass Company mugs. Some Federal Glass pieces, like these ones, are easily identified by the marking of an F in the middle of a shield on the bottom.

I spent some time today looking for more information about the company and these cups but did not turn up much in the way of concrete facts.  Here is what I learned with the facts being compiled from a number of unofficial sources.

The Federal Glass Company was created in the early 1900s by George and Robert J. Beatty. Apparently, it originally created tumblers but soon expanded into jars and bottles and by the 1950s was making tableware from coloured pressed glass.

These zodiac-themed mugs were manufactured in the 1960s and possibly 1970s and they were made in the U.S.A.

I read that the company closed its doors in 1980 but saw this contradicted elsewhere.

Regardless, of the details, they are handsome zodiacal cups, done in black and gold, with one side presenting an image of a zodiacal sign and the other side presenting information about that specific sign.

Collectors of zodiacal mugs collect mugs that represent their specific sign. Others want a complete set representing all twelve signs of the zodiac. Whichever kind of collector you are, you will find them all available on eBay though not necessarily at the same time.  Click here to see the Federal Glass zodiac mugs in my eBay store:
